His approach is aggressive, trial-tested, and has a proven track record for excellence.

Prior to opening his criminal defense law firm, Patrick R. Mckamey served wide-ranging roles within Florida’s legal system. His career began as a Homicide Prosecutor and later, a Sex Crimes Prosecutor. He was appointed County Court Division Chief, as well as Felony Court Division Chief several years later. Due to those experiences, he became a certified DUI Instructor for FPAA (Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association), which has given him invaluable expertise for his DUI clients.

Attorney Mckamey enjoys a reputation among prosecutors, judges, and defense attorneys as a top-notch defense attorney. Due to his two- decade-plus career and versatile background, he has come to know how police and prosecutors investigate and compile cases. Mr. Mckamey now uses all of these skills, connections, and persistence to defend individuals and corporations investigated and charged with a crime. More importantly, he fights to ensure that his clients receive just treatment in the court system. Mr. Mckamey understands that individuals charged with a crime want an attorney who is sympathetic, a good listener and genuinely cares for his clients. He has established trust among clients for his emotional support, communication through an otherwise confusing process, and ability to know when to negotiate a plea deal that is crucial for cases where dismissal of all charges is not a viable option. Clients can have peace of mind when their future, reputation and most of all freedom are at risk.

In recent years, Mr. McKamey has been recognized as a legal consultant for CBS 12, where he brings his unique legal analysis and opinion to South Florida viewers—most notably for the bizarre and legally complex case of Dalia Dippolito.

Mr. Mckamey received his Baccalaureate of Science from Florida State University and his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern Law School. He is a member of the Palm Beach County Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
